In the early 1990s, I developed and produced a sample program in Los Angeles, California, as part of my vision for an Arab-American television platform. This program—original content reflecting my cultural, creative, and strategic investment—was transported to Paris for review by a Qatari prince, with the understanding that its purpose was to secure financial backing and collaboration. Following that submission, an American intermediary named Terry was introduced, whose wife had met a Qatari princess at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. I was verbally offered a role, and led to believe that my concept was under serious consideration. However, instead of collaboration, I later watched a globally recognized institution rise from the same foundational vision—Al Jazeera—without my name, without acknowledgment, and most critically, without compensation. I have written, I have appealed, and I have shown patience. But my correspondence has repeatedly met silence. This silence, in light of documented proof and eyewitness accounts, feels not just dismissive, but exploitative. Therefore, I formally request an investigation into my claim. If my statements are substantiated—as I am confident they will be—I respectfully demand recognition and fair compensation for the unauthorized use of my creative work and lifelong investment. This is not merely about money. It is about restoring dignity to the principle of artistic ownership and holding accountable those who profit from the shadows of others’ light.
