Unveiling Shadows: Understanding the Unthinkable in the West's Complicated Dance with Israel

I have been contemplating the perplexing reasons behind the Western world's longstanding tolerance and, more recently, support for Israel's occupation, even in the face of what is widely perceived as a genocide against the Palestinian people. The ongoing tragedy is not solely an affront to the Palestinian population; it is an egregious crime against humanity, unfolding before our eyes. History appears poised to bear witness to yet another genocide, a stain on our collective conscience as we stand by. Many find themselves bewildered, searching for comprehensible answers to what was once deemed inconceivable. Unable to find a rational explanation for the unreasonable events unfolding, I delved into the realm of the irrational. While thinking irrationally poses a considerable challenge, akin to conceptualizing shapes in the fourth or fifth dimension, ironically, such unconventional thinking opens a door to a dark world seemingly harboring the unreasonable answers sought. In our familiar realm of reason, we uphold the principle that two wrongs do not make a right. However, within a dark and irrational world governed by irrational individuals, two wrongs inexplicably align to form a semblance of righteousness. For those accustomed to reason, the possibility that some Holocaust survivors harbor hatred and a thirst for vengeance against humanity remains unexplored. Yet, when genocide occurs, culpability extends to all of humanity, including bystanders. Unbridled by reason, unconventional explanations emerge for contemporary events. The catalyst for hate and vengeance stems from Western guilt, particularly because the six million Holocaust victims were European Jews, not Arab Jews. The crime was not the sole doing of Nazi Germany; its allies and collaborators also bear responsibility. From 1933 to 1941, the United States, initially a bystander, shares guilt, even after its official entry into World War II. The Vichy regime in France collaborated in the implementation of the Holocaust, orchestrating the collective deportation of Jews. Hatred and the pursuit of vengeance, while potent, were insufficient to satiate the thirst for blood. A meticulous plan had to be crafted, fueled by Western guilt and facilitated by money and power. This unholy alliance paved the way for colossal crimes, driven by a desire for vengeance against a Holocaust. Money, a finite resource, necessitated a manipulative scheme to recycle funds, illustrating a cycle where the United States supports Israel with taxpayer dollars, which, in turn, funds the political campaigns of those granting the financial support. Tragically, this Israeli strategy disproportionately affects the middle class, leaving them impoverished, while the affluent grow richer, with the remaining funds channeled into purchasing weaponry from defense contractors like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, and others. The European Union, burdened by lingering guilt for the Holocaust crimes against Jews, appears eager for Israel to commit its own folly, perhaps as a misguided attempt to assuage its historical culpability. While these circumstances may seem unreasonable, they offer a tentative explanation for the overwhelming madness witnessed today.
